Work Experience

IT Operations Specialist Jan. 2023 - Present

Professional Masterclass Academy (PMA)

"Cofounded PMA, an educational startup, teaching students the fundamentals of cloud computing."

I leveraged Amazon Web Services, ECS, and S3 along with my experience in Python to create, deploy, and maintain Docker containers to host the client's website. The increased visibility boosted the website's traffic by over 80%. Eventually, I migrated over to using WordPress and deployed their official website using hosting services, reducing costs and improving loading times by 30%.

I also took on a project management role, Using Jira and Confluence to ensure that the team met deadlines, while adhering to a high completion rate.

Python Software Developer May 2023 - Dec. 2023

York University

I led a team of 3 in translating preexisting MATLAB fluid dynamics code to Python to achieve improved scalability. In addition to the coding aspect of the role, I also created personalized tranings and onboarding lessons for my peers and oncoming hires to reduce onboarding time and improve the teams overall productivity.

Computer Support Technician May 2021 - Apr. 2023

York University

I was the first point of contact (FPOC) for the School of AMPD's 7 departments when it came to hardware, software, network, and voice-related incidents. Anything from "My computer is blue-screening" to "Adobe Acrobat Pro isn't letting me edit my PDFs", you would call me! I created documentation for my problems I found and resolved, ensuring that the knowledge and insight I gained was passed on. Additionally, I assisted with the implementation of AMPD's inventory and ticketing systems, which is where I found my passion for the System Administration role.

Customer Service Representative Sep. 2019 - Sep. 2020

Toronto Transit Commission (TTC)

This is where I found my passion for customer-facing roles! I guided customers through the use of the "new" (at least in those days) PRESTO machines, easing the transition from cash to cashless. My primary objective was to give directions and instructions for subway users, and of course, deal with the occasional subway closures and the irate customers that came along with it.

Interests

From the construction of a 4410 piece LEGO (well, AliExpress LEGO) set, to exploring the fascinating structures of Brutalist Architecture, my creative spark knows no bounds! (Yes, this is taken from Chat GPT but hey it's all still true!)

I love to explore Toronto's diverse food scene, and to end the day with a large boba or a nice extra hot half sweet Caramel Macchiato, and no I do not mind if it keeps me up at night its still definitely worth it! As you can imagine, a computer tech like me loves to game with friends, and occasionally tinker with PCs and electronics.

Finally, I have only recently gotten into cars, so if you would like to talk to me about anything from tech to cars, feel free to reach out! ⭐
